  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • hot water to soak
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Soak the Cashews: Place the cashews in a bowl and pour enough hot water to cover them. Cover with a lid and let them soak for about 2 hours.
  • Blend the Ingredients: Transfer the soaked cashews and any remaining water to a blender. Add the nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Blend on high for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve and Store: Serve immediately, warm or cold, as a spread, dip, or topping. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
