Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Beyond Meat ground thawed
  • Half white cabbage
  • 1 medium white onion
  • Optional extra salt and pepper

Prep

  • Prepare the Cabbage:
    Cut off about half of the cabbage and lay it flat on the cutting board. Slice it thinly. This will help it cook evenly and blend well with the other ingredients.
  • Dice the Onion:
    Dice the onion into small pieces. This will give a great flavor base for the dish.

Cooking

  • Preheat the Pot:
    Preheat a large pot over medium heat. This will ensure even cooking.
  • Sauté the Onion:
    Add some oil to the pot and fry the diced onion until it turns golden. This step caramelizes the onion, bringing out its natural sweetness.
  • Cook the Beyond Meat:
    Add the thawed Beyond Meat ground to the pot and mix well with the onions. Cook until the "meat" is no longer pink and starts to get a golden crust. This adds a delightful texture and depth of flavor to the dish.
  • Add the Cabbage:
    Once the Beyond Meat is fully cooked, start adding the sliced cabbage to the pot. Mix well. As the cabbage cooks, it will soften and reduce in volume. Continue cooking and stirring for 7-15 minutes until all the cabbage is tender and well-coated with the flavors.
  • Serve:
    Serve the stir-fry hot and enjoy the delicious, plant-based goodness!

Notes

  • No additional seasoning is required; Beyond Meat is already seasoned to perfection.
  • For an oil-free version, sauté the onion in a splash of water or broth instead of oil.
