These tofu slices are flavorful, hold up well in sandwiches, and pair beautifully with spreads like cashew cheese or cashew mayonnaise for an extra boost of creaminess. He loves them, and I’m sure you will too!

  7. Bake for 15–17 minutes, or until the edges are golden and slightly crispy.

Recipe Tips

Press the Tofu Well – Removing excess water helps the tofu absorb more flavor and achieve a better texture. Use a tofu press or wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for at least 15 minutes.

Slice Evenly for Even Baking – Cutting the tofu into uniform 0.5 cm (¼ inch) slices ensures they bake evenly and develop a consistent texture.

Don’t Skip the Nutritional Yeast – This adds a delicious umami, cheesy flavor and enhances the overall taste of the tofu.

Use Parchment Paper for Easy Cleanup – It prevents the tofu from sticking and makes cleanup a breeze. You can also lightly grease the pan if you don’t have parchment paper.

Customize the Seasonings – Adjust the spices to match your taste! Add smoked paprika for a smoky touch, a little soy sauce for extra depth, or chili flakes for more heat.

Enjoy these baked tofu slices in sandwiches, wraps, salads, or simply as a delicious snack on their own!
